ShimmySkirt is the annual Australian orientale belly dance project, the sister project to the annual gothic fusion group PseudoSkirt.
ShimmySkirt was created by Ma'isah to celebrate the Egyptian and Arabic cabaret and folk styles of belly dance, we welcome and unite dancers from anywhere and everywhere in a remote choreography project that is open-level, fun and invites anyone willing to learn and perform a dance - we meet at a festival or event that is an official host of ShimmySkirt, rehearse once and dance on stage to wow the crowd!
PseudoSkirt is created by Ma'isah using he Elysium format for dark/gothic fusion belly dance. Elysium is taught as workshops around Australia and online worldwide at www.elysiumclassesonline.com
